Globalisation

I remember when I was a child in China, telephones were precious things. We had to go to the post stations or call stations to call. I used to admire my neighbor to have a telephones at home, because he was a officer.
With the developing of globalisation, there were increasingly telephones everywhere after 90’s. Because the connect lines became more and the fees of fix were cheaper. After that more and more call machine appeared on the youth’s belt. Motornornize from USA was the best popular bland. Peoples liked use it to answer someone call through the telephones. At the same time, mobile phone began appearing. Motornornize was still the first bland, but the external form is clumsy, like a big brick! And it is very expensive, about ten thousands NZ dollars! It can be enough to build a house in the country. So only few people use it.
After 2000, mobile phone became cheaper, only one hundreds NZ dollars can have it. The sharp was small and delicate. So it is so popular to everyone, even the ageds. I began to like it. I like its multi design, including phone, message, dictionary, radio and MP3. It just a bestow favors from Buddha! Communication each other is so easy!

Summarise our country news

Chinese adore foreign things before. But after we read the artical according to a Mzkinsey survey results, we will find it has changed.

With the Chinese economic have rapidly developed in these years, Chinese consumers have tend to prefer their local goods more than foreign ones. However, Chinese sometimes are confused that the overser goods are made in China in fact. This result is according McKinsey’s survey in 2007.

There are three main reasons of change. Firstly, Chinese nationalist sentiment is rising in these years. Because the Chinese economic have developed so quickly that China is become incresingly power in the world, and Chinese are more and more confident to their nation. Secondly, The qualities of the domestic brand products are more and more better, and they are refreshed so quickly even every three months! Lastly the wealthy class expand, they have more high demand to the foreign products.

On the other hands, the foreign electronics and cars are still popular in China.

Blog Entry Four- Changes in manners

Education has been paid great attention in China since time from time immemorial. In the past fifty years, its environment has a vast change. I am going to mention two aspects of it, the statuse of teachers and the opportuniities of tertiary education.

Firstly, the status positions of teachers has risen quickly. In the Culture Revolution during 60-70’s, teachers were forced to become the lowest job and anyone was afraid to do. As a result young generation at that time had the lowest educational level! But now, teachers are respected again. They have been paid well salary and offered good living apartments by government in the main city.

Secondly, the opportunities of learning in university are more now than in 50’s. Seventy percent of every year’s graduates in colleges can go on tertiary education. Whereas in 50's, only 5 percent people graduated from tertiary course. The main reason is that economy develop at full speed, government have set up so many universities and institutes in towns and cites throughout China in recent years.

In conclusion, education is more and more better than before in the last half a century. Consequently, Chinese educational quality is raised quikly.

Blog Entry One 'about me'

Hi everyone!

I am Lisa, from the Flower city in south China, Guangzhou. I have lived New Zealand for three years, and I am a PR. I live in Balmoral in Auckland with my husand and my daughter. My daugther likes her New Zealand school and enjoys reading her book with me everyday, because we often do role plays from her book.

I was a accoutant for over ten years in China. Now I am studying English in Unitec in Auckland. In the furture I would like to do some work to help patients or old people, because I like charitable work. However, I have to study English well first, especially my listening and speaking.

I enjoy reading good books so I can do not anything all day except reading! And I also like to travel every year, especially pilgrimages to holy Buddhist places, such as India and Tailand.

I am glad to see you in Unitec, and hope we have a successful learning life!
